Drop-In Nursery
(Ages 6 weeks to 5 years) The Legacy YMCA offers a nursery for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. There is no fee for the nursery; however there is a two hour limit. Parents must remain at the Y while their children are in the nursery. Remember to bring extra diapers, wipes, clothing, and a snack. Please make sure that your children’s items are labeled with their names. Your children must not have a runny nose, sneezing, diarrhea, vomiting, or fever—without Tylenol or other meds for at least 24 hours prior to being in the nursery. You’ll thank us for enforcing this when other children are kept from making yours ill!

Live Y'ers
This is our licensed preschool program for children ages 2½ to 5, who are already potty-trained. Children grow and acquire skills at their own pace through age-appropriate activities and interactive learning. Activities include art, fitness through play, devotions, Bible stories, and much more!

Hours 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Half-day hours are 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

Kid Zone
( Ages 6 - 11 ) This is a great place for your 6 to 11 year old to be while you work out. The program is supervised by a Y staff member and offers exciting activities for your child, including sports, playground time and much more. Parents must remain in the facility while their child is in Kid's Zone.

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Summer and Schools Out Days;
Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Mother's Day Out
Children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old can enjoy fun-filled, unstructured play while parents have a day off for themselves away from the Y. This program is a 40 week program requiring a 40 week commitment. Your enrollment reserves a spot for 40 weeks. Slots are limited!!

School's Out Camps
Available when Jefferson County Schools and Bessemer City Schools are closed.

Enrollment Procedures
The enrollment is a series of 12 week long programs. You can reserve as many slots as needed when you enroll. Slots are limited!

Fees

1 child - $25.00 (first child), $35.00 per family A non-refundable deposit of $5.00 per week is required to reserve weekly spots for your child.

Weekly Fees

Camp Little Feet (ages 2 1/2 to 5, who have not completed kindergarten) $85.00 for meembers, $105.00 for non-members, no additonal child discount.

Kid's Camp (5 year olds who have completed kindergarten up to 14 years old who have just completed the 8th grade)

Members: $85.00 per week for the first child, $70.00 per week for each additional child Non-members: $110.00 per week for the first child, $95.00 per week for each additional child

Hours 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. A late pick-up fee is charged after 6:00pm.

Bring a Buddy to Camp and get half off of the registration fee. Register before April 15 to be eligible for this special offer. (Buddies must register at the same time. Limit one buddy per family. Family members can't be buddies.)

Parent's Night Out
Enjoy a night out, or in, without the kids. They won’t mind because they will enjoy themselves here at the Legacy YMCA. The “Kids Night at the Y” will include dinner, crafts, sports, swimming (ages 5 and up), and a movie.

The enrollment minimum is 15 children. If we do not have 15 children pre-enrolled by the 2nd Wednesday of the month, we will not hold Parent's Night Out that month.

Ages: 6 weeks old – 14 years old

When: 2nd Friday of every month, 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Late pickup fee of $1.00 per minute per child.

Where: Check in at the front desk upon arrival

Fees:
Members: $7.00 per child for advance registration, $10.00 per child for late registration (after the 2nd Wednesday of the month)

Non Member: $10.00 per child for advance registration, $13 per child for late registration (after the 2nd Wednesday of the month.

Additional Info: Please send a swimsuits and towels with children who intend to swim.
